![]() ![]() I’m not writing this post to sell one Boogie Board over the other, that wouldn’t be fair. The Boogie Board Jot has only three colors to choose from, Black, Red, and Blue. This gives you as well as the children you may be buying for a lot of choices to choose from to make their Boogie Board truly feel like their own. It also comes in Soccer, Camo, and Floral themes. The original Boogie Board comes in a variety of colors, Pink, Black, White, Red, Green, and Blue. However there is one key point that keeps the original Boogie Board in the running. Now, you may be thinking that the Jot sounds a lot better than the original due to the new features that it contains. The original Boogie Board has a clip you can attach and a set of magnets that you can adhere to the back, allowing you to mount it on the fridge, or any other magnetized surface. There is also a built in stylus holder for the Jot as well as built in magnets. The original Boogie Board has no such button. When this button is in use, the screen cannot be erased. Now it’s not like those 50,000 erases take a few weeks or even a few months, it takes a few years.Īpart from the battery, the Boogie Board Jot also has a hold button. The Boogie Board Jot not only has the same lifespan, but the battery is replaceable for it so you can use it over and over again. I’d say the largest difference between the two is that the original Boogie Board has a lifespan of 50,000 erases, and then it’s done. Aside from the price, there are other differences between them. There are a few differences between the boards that you may want to be aware of before you go buying one over the other.įirst of all, the first question after “What’s the difference” is “What’s the price difference?” The original Boogie Board is $29.99, and the Boogie Board Jot is $39.99. Alright before you jump into your car and come to the store to swap out your old Boogie Board for the new one, finish reading. Not far behind the original Boogie Board in sales was the Boogie Board Jot, a brand new style of board. Think of it as a modernized Etch-a-Sketch. The Boogie Board is a LCD writing tablet where kids (and adults) can doodle, make lists, draw, and erase to their hearts content. ![]() I have done a post on Boogie Boards before, but as a quick recap, let me explain what it is. Over the holiday season, there was one item in particular that amazed me in terms of sales. ![]()
